Rule 6.23

What is required of a train crew that receives radio notification of another train that is in emergency while operating on an adjacent track?

Rule 9.17

When authorized in ABS territory, how may a train enter signaled track at a hand-operated switch that has no governing signal?

• Operate the switch and wait 5 minutes to establish block signal protection. If after 5 minutes no movement is seen or heard approaching, the train may enter the signaled track.
