• He hides his son in the walls of the apartment until the war is over

• He is sent to live with a friend

• Ilzeki gets a gun and kills every Nazi who comes to take his child

• He doesn't save his son

How does Vladek save his son Richieu?

• He sends Richieu with Ilzeki's son

• He finds a nice Nazi who takes his son and pretends to be his father until the war is over

• They send Richieu to the United States without knowing who will take care of him

• Anja won't let Vladek send Richieu away and he dies later

Why do the Germans hang Nahum Cohen and his son?

• They are caught dealing goods without coupons

• The two of them were secretly killing Nazis

• Nahum and his son were suspected of sabotaging a train that was taking Jews to work camps

• They just don't like Jews and Nahum and his son were in the wrong place at the wrong time
