Yet, we spend more than $12 billion a year on bottled water, water filtration systems, and we throw away 2.5 million plastic water bottles every hour. Bottled water is more expensive than “sink” water, and it isn’t any better for you. And even if we recycle all that plastic, which we don’t, that is a lot of waste.
