Be respectful of NDSCS facilities.

What are some ways you can do this?

• Pick up trash

• Put furniture back where it belongs

• Keep my feet off the seat in front of me in the auditorium

• Leave spaces better than I found them.

When do I eat lunch on Friday and when do I get on the bus to go to the festival?

• Eat lunch at the beginning of 4th hour (4A, this is normal for 7th graders)

• Board the bus at 11:30 (the normal ending time for 4A lunch)

At the music festival, what should you do if a teacher from another school or a parent who is there to watch asks you to be quiet during a performance?

• Apologize and stop talking

• Apologize but continue to talk, just more quietly

• Tell them that they're not in charge and only Mrs. Stoppleworth can tell you what to do.

• Ignore them and continue talking.

What does it mean to be an "excellent" audience member?

• Keep my phone put away at all times in the performance space (auditorium).

• Never talk or be distracting while a group is performing.

• Avoid talking when the clinician is talking or whisper.

• Be kind and encouraging to all performers.

• Never enter/exit the auditorium during a performance.

What does is mean to perform to the best of my ability and be professional on stage?

• Watch Mrs. Stoppleworth's conducting closely while we are performing and do what she shows us!

• Sing like I mean it! With confidence but also with control.

• Never talk on stage. Not when we're going on/off, not in between songs, not when the clinician is talking. Never.

• Use the best posture I can the entire time and be careful not to make distracting movements.

Do you need to wear your concert clothes to school on Friday?

• YES

• NO

Are the listening worksheets in my packet graded?

• Yes, but it doesn't matter whether I do them well or not

• No

• Yes, and I need to make sure I look at the example page before I start so I can get a good grade.

What is the one thing you need to remember to do before returning to school at the end of the festival?

• PUT MY NAME ON MY PACKET and turn it in to Mrs. Goerger or her student teacher before I get on the bus.
