In chapter 7, we read about how Nehemiah cared about building Jerusalem from inside and outside. He worked to watch over the walls, and looked for the genealogy of the people who returned to assign priests and leaders.
In chapter 8, we read how Nehemiah wanted the people to come back to God and remember His law, also to celebrate the feasts of the Lord as they celebrated the feast of Tabernacles.
In chapter 7 verse 5, we read how God put into Nehemiah’s heart to gather the nobles, the rulers and the people. God guided Nehemiah because he was a man of prayers. We should ask God’s guidance before doing anything, so He can lead us in His way.
“ I will ________ you and _____ you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye” (Psalm 32:8).
