A parent finds it difficult to remove his laced shoes at the door and his child who sees him from the distance starts to wail.

Apply HEAD from 3H.

• The child would need to continue crying till he gets tired

• The child would need to calm down so that the parents can leave.

• The parents would need assistance.

• The best thing to do is to do nothing

• Child is afraid and wants to go home.

• Parent will want the child to go back home with him as he can handle the child better.

• Child wants to throw tantrums to attract attention

• Parent will want to leave the child with you and want to be sure that u can handle him or her.

• Greet the parent, and state that you will offer help.

• Remind the child that daddy will be back later for them.

• Tell the child that it is shameful to wail in front of so many people.

• Offer the child a sweet or toy to make them feel comfortable.

• Tell the grandparents it’s based on Rules and Regulations & others have abided to rules too.

• Chase the grandparents away.

• Go up to the grandparents and remind them again.

• Find out the grandparents' needs for having to wait at waiting area and reassure them.

• The grandparents just wants to do what they feels like doing.

• The grandparents are making my job difficult.

• The grandparents want to feel assured that the child is doing well

• The grandparents are being selfish.

• Tell the grandparents that they are not allowed to wait near the center.

• Apologize & explain that this is to prevent crowding near center. This is to ensure minimal distraction to children.

• Acknowledge their concerns by saying,"I would feel the same way if it’s the first day of class for my child too".

• Tell the grandparents to leave immediately.
