To evaluate the impact of forced migrations on societies, students read primary source accounts about the crisis in Ukraine, Stalin's deportations to Siberia, the Partition of India, and the Atlantic Slave trade and describe how these events have effected different groups of people. Students will use the sources as evidence to answer the question "How do forced migrations impact societies?"
