Geothermal energy is when people use the heat inside of Earth to heat up water to create steam that will turn a turbine. The problem with this type of energy source is:

• it disrupts our fossils underground.

• only certain locations that have "vents" can do this, like Iceland and Italy.

One major drawback (negative consequence) of solar panels is the production of them. Solar energy is meant to be good for the environment, but they require a material called quartz to be manufactured (built). Processing quartz can create waste that is 

• toxic

• recyclable
