His comprehension skills are age appropriate however his verbal communication is unintelligible with unfamiliar communication partners. 

He uses pre-stored messages to converse with his peers.

Cassidy is an elementary school student who is in a 12:1:4 classroom

She has inconsistent attendance due to frequent hospitalizations. 

She does not always come to school with a backpack due to multiple medical conditions.

Her family speaks Portuguese at home

She relies on picture symbols and is able to categorize with prompts.

Her classroom teacher is very motivated to use the device and adds specific vocabulary often, in order to effectively communicate throughout the school day.
