Book of Judith Chapter 9&10 Meditation:
In chapter 9, Judith’s prayer was a remembrance of God's saving Israelites from slavery in Egypt and asking God to show the same power to save his people. Judith was explaining the pride of the Assyrians that can't stand in front of God's mighty power.
In chapter 10, After her individual prayer to the Lord, Judith departs Bethulia after anointing herself with precious ointment and festive attire, because all this dressing up lent from virtue and the Lord also gave her more beauty. Judith was praying to the Lord on her way to the camp of the Assyrians and to Holofernes himself, she was captured and brought before Holofernes
