What techniques have your noticed in your book that impact the reader?

• Imagery: the author uses descriptive words to paint a picture in our head.

• Slang: the author uses lots of informal (casual) words that are made up.

• Rhetorical question: the author uses questions where you are not expected to answer.

Explain the 'problem' that your book is unpacking. This will be an idea that is explored in the book e.g., friendship, love, life, challenges etc.

List 3 words from your book (can be from any page) that you find interesting. This might be because you haven't seen them before, you don't know what the word means or you think it is an interesting choice by the author.
