The ACTIVE CURVE function is an integral part of the AIR BODY CONTROL

suspension system.

The AIR BODY CONTROL control unit communicates via the suspension

CAN bus (BR 213).

•

Two on-board control units regulate the AIR BODY CONTROL system.

• 
• 

The damping valve units regulate the damping freely adjustable for

each wheel, depending on which damping characteristic is specified

by the AIR BODY CONTROL control unit (N51/3).

•

In the comfort drive program above 125 km/h, the vehicle level lowers

automatically by around -30 mm.

• 
• 

Both control unit N51/3 and N51/8 are interconnected via the LIN bus.

The AIR BODY CONTROL control unit (N51/3) is activated after unlocking

of the vehicle by the active chassis FlexRay™ to check the

current vehicle level and correct it if necessary.

By pressing the raised button, vehicle will raise the vehicle level about +25 mm.

The vehicle level is continuously lowered from 0 km/h to the maximum

speed and then raised again.
