What should I do?!

I have some concerns about a student, I think they need to be seen by the school Guidance Officer. I happen to see Marlene getting coffee at the Tuckshop so I chat to her about my concerns and ask her to come and visit the student.

Is this an appropriate way to communicate your concerns about a student?

• YES! How convenient that she was at the Tuckshop chatting to some other parents at the time!

• NO. I will speak to Rachael and complete a Learning Needs Referral form so that my concerns can be discussed confidentially by the LN Team and the best course of action can be decided with all of the relevant information.

I am very worried about the attendance of a student. they have been coming in late and missing at least one day per week of school. Who should I speak to in order to address these concerns.
