CHOOSE THE LIE!

• Ms. Escalante and Ms. Luzano’s offices are right next door to each other

• Mr. Lara’s office in in room 143

• One of us used to be a student here at Webster.

• You need an appointment to talk to us.

• You can come up and talk to us before school, during nutrition, lunch.

• If you want to talk to one of us, you need to ask your teacher for a pass to come to our office

Which one is the lie?

• You can find Ms. Luzano near the cafeteria before school, and during nutrition and lunch.

• Ms. Escalante is in the rose garden area before school, and during nutrition and lunch.

• Ms. Luzano, Ms. Escalante, and Mr. Lara wear pink vests during nutrition and lunch.

Where is the lie?

• I should be able to deal with all of my challenges by myself.

• Middle school can be stressful sometimes.

• There are healthy ways to deal with stress.

Choose the lie...

• Ms. Luzano, Mr. Lara, and Ms. Escalante are happy I am here and want to meet me.

• Talking to a counselor or psychologist means there is something wrong with me.

• It is sometimes hard to ask for help.

Where is the lie?

• Ms. Luzano and Ms. Escalante will host a club called 6^th grade Lunch Bunch.

• Friendships never change in middle school.

• Sometimes students have conflicts with friends or classmates.  

Where is the lie?

• If someone sends me to the counseling office that means I am in trouble.

• Mr. Lara, Ms. Escalante, and Ms. Luzano care about your success and wellbeing.

• Ms. Escalante, Mr. Lara, and Ms. Luzano are here to support you.

• Sometimes Ms. Escalante, Ms. Luzano & Mr. Lara come into classrooms and teach lessons about topics like emotions, communication, and mental health.

• During the year, Ms. Escalante and Ms. Luzano host activities at lunch for mental health awareness and attendance celebrations.

• Candy is not allowed on campus.

Which one is a lie?

  It’s ok to make mistakes.

• Your problems will all go away if you ignore them.

• Uncomfortable emotions will pass.
