There it was again! Martha pressed her ear against the wall and listened. Scrape-scrape-scrape. A chill ran down her spine. What was that noise? She wished she hadn't agreed to babysit Quincy.
"Could you see what that is?" Quincy asked. Quincy hugged himself and shut his eyes.
Martha took a deep breath and threw open the kitchen door. Scrape-scrape-scrape. Quincy's dog, Lucky, was pushing his empty food dish across the tile floor.
Martha chuckled, then fed Lucky.
