What is the focus of science?

• To support students who are curious about how the natural world works

• To treat yourself, others, science tools and materials, and the learning environment with respect

What should you do if you are absent from class?

• Check the Google classroom for posted work and make up missed assignments

• Ask a classmate for the missed work and copy their assignments

• Do not worry about missed assignments and catch up later

• Inform the teacher about the absence and wait for further instructions

What is the purpose of standards-based grading?

• To assess individual skills on 6th grade science standards
