What are the three main factors to consider when defining tourism?

• Distance travelled, Length of visit, Purpose of visit

• Type of transportation, Duration of stay, Type of accommodation

• Number of attractions visited, Cost of travel, Weather conditions

How is tourism defined?

• The permanent relocation of people to different countries

• Tourism is the temporary short-term movement of people to destinations outside the places where they normally live and work, and activities during their stay at these destinations;  it includes movement for all purposes (business, leisure and VFR) as well as day visits or excursions”

What is inbound tourism?

• Tourists leaving their country of origin to travel to another country
