Stability Augmentation System (SAS) mode ONLY is engaged when…

• ATT mode is disengaged, advisory P/R TRIM OFF and caution ATT OFF are displayed in CAS window

• ATT mode is engaged,

  advisory P/R TRIM OFF and C/Y TRIM OFF are displayed in CAS window

• ATT mode is disengaged, caution 1-2 APP OFF and ATT OFF are displayed in CAS window

The AW189 AFCS consists of:

• Fight Control Computer (FCC), two pitch and two roll linear actuator, Stability Control Augmentation System (SCAS) actuator, three trim actuators and control panel

• Fight Control Computer (FCC), one pitch ,one roll linear actuator, one yaw linear actuator, three trim actuators and control panel

• Fight Control Computer (FCC), two pitch and two roll linear actuator, Stability Control Augmentation System (SCAS) actuator, four trim actuators and control panel

The AFCS is to provide the following main functions: -

• Primary Modes, Secondary Modes and Self-test Function

• Primary Modes, Upper Modes and Self-test function

• Upper Modes, Lower Modes and Self-Test function

Where is the pitch and roll trim actuator located?

• Below cockpit floor underneath the co-pilot’s seat

• At the top of cockpit ceiling on pilot side

• At the top of left side cabin ceiling
