Tyrannosaurus Rex

Tyrannosaurus Rex was a very big meat-eating dinosaur. It was at the top of the food chain. It fed on other large dinosaurs. But T. Rex could have swallowed smaller dinosaurs in a single bite. One scientist believes that T. Rex was a scavenger. This is an animal that eats dead animals. He claims that T. Rex was not fast enough to catch prey. Others believe that T. Rex scavenged and hunted. This is like most living meat-eaters. T. Rex bite marks were found on the bones of dinosaurs that healed. This shows that Tyrannosaurus Rex did hunt sometimes. It also shows that the prey could escape.
