What is the difference from a duty and a responsibility

• duties are things you SOULD do while responsibilities are required by law

• duties are required by law while responsibilities are things citizens SOULD do

• duties are required by your parents while responsibilities are required by the gov’t

• duties are required by school while responsibilities are required by congress

what happens if you fail to preform your duties

• you can have penalties

• you can be deported

• you can get a fine

• you can go to prison

• you can be executed

why is obeying laws the most important duty

• help people understand what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior

• help gov’t keep order

• helps us protect our designer brands, safety, and health

• helps us protect our safety, health, and property
