The Jewish festival of Lights, takes place over the course of eight days. For many Southern Jewish families, this means eight nights of celebrating, lighting the candles, and eating yummy cultural foods. It also often means you get to receive eight nights of presents!

This holiday is very special. Many people consider it their favorite holiday. You get to celebrate with your family, eat delicious food, and exchange gifts.

Not only children love this day, but also adults. You get to hunt eggs with your family and eat a lot of chocolate!
