What artery supplies the midgut?

• Superior mesenteric artery

• Inferior mesenteric artery

• Celiac artery

• Renal artery

The following events/processes occur during physiological herniation except

• Protrusion of intestinal loops into the umbilical cord

• Rotation of the intestinal loop at 90 degrees counter clockwise

• Rotation of the intestinal loop around the axis of superior mesenteric artery

• Obliteration of vitelline duct

What happens during the retraction of herniated loops?

• Intestinal loop re-enters the abdominal cavity
