Native American Practice

This area has a hot, humid summer and a very cold winter. There are mountains, coastal plains, and rolling hills in this area. The main resource is trees – such as birch and maple. They use these trees to make their longhouses and wigwams. The people here farm and fish, but they also hunted deer as a main food source.

This area is humid and subtropical. The area is mainly flat lands with a few rolling hills and covered in high grasses. During the time of Native Americans, it was roamed by large bison and buffalo.

This area has a hot, rainy summer and a mild rainy winter. It is covered in flatland called the coastal plain. In this area they did a lot of farming and fishing. The area is very swampy, so they built their houses off the ground.
