• Inhale through device, breathing > tidal volume

• Exhale through device, not forcefully, 2-3 secs

• Patient to take 10-20 positive expiratory breaths

• **Followed up by 2-3 effectives coughs

Whats the Frequency/Duration for the Acapella Device?

• 10-20min, 2-4x/day

• 1st Week: 10-15min a day

• Daily, 6x/week, 30 minute sessions

-​ (b)   through device, not forcefully, 2-3 secs

-Patient to take ​ (c)   positive expiratory breaths

*Followed up by 2-3 effectives cough
