Blessed are the poor in spirit for...

• they will see God

• they will be the kindest people

• theirs is the kingdom of heaven

• they will never have much money

Blessed are the meek

• for they will never be called weak

• for they will inherit the earth

• for theirs is the Kingdom of God

• for they will be rewarded

Blessed are those who mourn

• for they shall be comforted

• 
  

  because strong people cry too

  
  

• because everyone is sad some of the time

• because you can't be happy all of the time

Blessed are the peacemakers

• because no one likes someone who picks a fight

• for they will be shown mercy

• for they will avoid all arguments

• for they will be called Sons of God

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness

• for they will be satisfied

• for they know a sandwich will not fill them up

• for God will supply what they need

• for they know what is truly important

Blessed are the merciful

• because they are the nicest people

• for they will be given what they gave

• for they will be shown mercy

• because they understand that mistakes happen

Blessed are the pure in heart

• for they are careful what they watch on TV

• for they always look for the best in people

• for they are the nicest people

• for they will see God

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness

• for they will get the best presents at Christmas

• for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

• because they are willing to turn the other cheek

• for they will see God

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you...

• ...because you will take the high road

• ...because they won't win in the end

• ...because people can be jerks
