Which of the following is the best summary of this passage?
Although Niagara Falls is an awesome natural wonder, you have to travel to the Canadian border in northern New York to see it. Sightseeing there can be very expensive. Tourist traps are plentiful and even the attractions for visitors charge high fees for riding the 'Maid of the Mist,' for riding the cable car, and for going to the Cave of the Winds. Lots of taxes are added to other totals, so Americans do not benefit from the difference between the U.S. and Canadian dollars.
Niagara Falls is composed of the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side and a smaller falls on the American side of the river. The natural wonder was created approximately 12,000 years ago when huge masses of ice created glaciers that carved deep channels into the earth. Lake Erie actually provides the river that fills the channels and pours into the Niagara River.
Niagara Falls has some really fun (but expensive) attractions for visitors. Deciding upon a favorite depends on how adventurous you are. For those not opposed to getting soaked, you ride the scary 'Maid of the Mist' boat that goes up close to the base of the thundering water. Another opportunity to get wet is to see Niagara Falls from behind by choosing to tour the Cave of the Winds. Other visitors who are not afraid of heights choose to take the cable car ride across the river where you don't get wet at all.
Niagara Falls borders the United States and Canada, creating one of the most impressive natural wonders on the continent. The attraction was created by glaciers thousands of years ago, and is a source of hydroelectric power. It’s also very popular with tourists, in spite of the expense. Visitors can enjoy everything from riding a cable car across the Niagara River to viewing Niagara Falls from a cave behind the thundering falls.
