Reorder the following from lowest level of security to highest
If an offender is considered a higher risk or violent, they are placed in a medium security level prison. These prisons use cells for inmates, but they are still free to move around the facility on their own at specific times.
Minimum security prison are for offenders who are considered to be nonviolent and represent a very small escape risk. Most of these institutions are set up like a college-style campus and have extensive programs for the offenders to help with rehabilitation and integration back into the public.
Offenders that are placed in a low-level security prison may have a tendency for violence, but they are not a risk. there are certain precautions placed, like perimeter fencing and higher staff-to-inmate ratios.
When an offender is deemed extremely dangerous, high escape risk, or chronically ill, they will be sent to a supermax facility. An inmate gets almost no mobility within the facility. They are confined to their cell for 23 hours a day with one hour of individual recreation time.
A person sent to a maximum security prison is considered a dangerous criminal. These prisons are very restrictive and do not allow for much leeway for inmate movement because of gang affiliation, manipulation, and violence.
