Why was the 'boy with the grapes' art not as beautiful as the 'boy with the curtain'?

Why did Parrhasius smile and say nothing, when Zeuxis told him that no one's painting is better than his?

When did Zeuxis realize that Parrhasius was a better painter than him?

• When Zeuxis apple was not so real as the grapes.

• When parrhasius drew the grapes and the boy and the birds pecked at the fruit

• When the painting "boy with the curtain" fooled him as well as the birds

After realising that he was not such a great painter, why did he attempt to paint again? what did he want to see/understand?

Is being "proud" of your work, a bad emotion? What should have been the correct or balanced emotion of Zeuxis when people praised him for his art?

Draw a picture of a fruit and be proud of it, knowing fully well that it can always be better, but it is good for now. :)
