When a student uses offensive language in class, the following should be done ?

• Call his/her parents immediately .

• First remind the student about the values immediately - safety, respect and responsibility .

• Send him/her to the leadership team immediately.

When students damage the school, the following can be done ?

• Let it go because they are kids, it happens.

• Call the parents and tell them to pay for the damage caused.

• The student will be asked to help manage the repair or replacement of the item .

During the last period you are in class and you see that the class is unclean/dirty. You could do the following?

• Tell the Didis to clean the classroom .

• Make the whole class clean before leaving .

• Prefects will wait back and clean the class before leaving.

When a student is fighting with another student, the following are potential healthy ways of dealing with the situation ? (choose as many options you think)

• Tell the child to write sorry 10 times .

• Immediately the parents are informed and called to school .

• Have a conversation with the child and understand the concern .

• Make the child write an apology letter to the person they have hurt/offended.

• Leave the class and call a leadership team member.

First time you see the student carrying valuables or a harmful object like gold chain/mobile etc. The school should do the following:

• The child is asked to go home, keep the object and come back to school.

• The parent is immediately asked to come and collect the object .

• The object is taken and deposited in school office and student collects it at the end of the day.
