Meditation Verse for Book of Esther Chapter 9&10:
In Chapter 9, we read about the Royal posts from Mordecai, which gave the Jews the authority to defend themselves. The two circulars set a date for this battle, so both sides prepared for the battle. The Feast of Purim; Mordecai and Esther sent the need to celebrate the feast as a hymn of thanks to God, who was glorified by saving His children. This feast is to teach the people and their descendants that God takes care of His children. The feast is an honor to God and an education for the people.
In Chapter 10: Mordecai is his second-in-command. He becoming great among the Jews indicates that it remained attached to its simple people and did not exalt itself separately from them. The secret of his greatness was the breadth of his heart with love for his brothers. Mordecai remembers that he saw a dream, in which God revealed to him what would happen, and that God, with His foreknowledge, knew what would happen to His people and that He was planning salvation for them. Salvation here will be at the hands of a weak woman, Esther!
