A total of 10,000 sparkling, Swarovski (a)   were placed, one-by-one, on Cinderella’s blue dress and in the hair of Lily James who plays Cinderella.

The (a)   worn by Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother has tiny LED lights interwoven within the fabric of the dress and would light up every time she would cast a spell. In fact, the actress herself had only ten minutes of screen-time, in spite of top billing.

During the ballroom dance scene, many of the dress designs of the characters are based on the dresses from various Disney Princesses, including Belle, Tiana, Aurora, Snow White, Mulan, and Ariel. The effort was to (a)   all film varieties into one depiction for effect.

According to costume designer Sandy Powell, she didn't want Ella's main outfit to be rags or a patchwork dress. Instead, Cinderella wears a dress that gradually (a)   and fades in color but looks like something she would have worn in happier days when her father was still alive. The dress is made of aqua cotton voile and has small pale pink flowers almost hidden in the material.

Lily James who plays Ella originally (a)   for the role of Anastasia Tremaine the stepsister before being cast as the titular role of Cinderella.

The final dancing scene was entirely (a)   and done spontaneously without rehearsal. Director Kenneth Branagh decided to keep it in the final cut.

In an interview, Lily James, who plays Cinderella, claims that the iconic glass slippers used in this movie really don’t fit on her (a)   . Rather, the slippers were later added to the final cut through CGI.

In the glass panels of the front door in Cinderella's house, several "Hidden Mickeys" are seen. When Cinderella is forbidden from going to the ball and is sobbing, a Hidden Mickey inside the (a)   of the door windows can be spotted.

The fairytale was often criticized for plot elements that were seen as (a)   , such as why the stepfamily didn't recognize Cinderella at the ball and why the slipper didn't fit anyone else during the search, as it is still likely someone had the same foot-size as Cinderella. This adaptation attempted to address these issues with the Fairy Godmother using a spell to hide her identity so that she isn't noticed, and when the narrator explains that the glass shoe was a magical creation and would only fit Ella's foot.

In the scene leading up to Cinderella trying on the glass slipper, as she walks into the room towards Kit, there is a (a)   behind her of a young girl. The artistic depiction is that of another Disney Princess named Snow White.
