How to check capacitor

• set mm to dc and put the red lead to the positive side and the black to the negative, make sure there's no voltage, then switch to capacitance and it should read close to the rated amount

• switch the mm to dc then put the negative probe to the striped end and the red to the blank end then it should read the voltage drop if its good
