Describe the Saratoga Campaign.

Answer explanation

The Saratoga Campaign was British General Burgoyne’s plan to travel south towards Albany, attacking cities and forts along the way. He was successful at first, but later had trouble hacking through the wilderness and gaining support from local colonists. In the end Burgoyne surrenders his entire army to the Americans. 

Must include:

1) That it was General Burgoyne's plan to travel south toward Albany, eventually to capture Albany.

2) It was successful at first. Particularly when he took Ft. Ticonderoga

3) Burgoyne's army was ultimately defeated and he surrendered his entire army to the Americans.
