If you had been Mary when she found out she was pregnant, what would be the first thing to pop into your mind?

• No one will believe me, especially Joseph.

• What will the kids at school say?

• My parents are going to kick me out.

• God must know what he’s doing.

If you had been Joseph, her fiancée, what would be the first thing to come into your mind?

• It must have been that party she went to without me!

• What will the kids at school say?

• What can I do to get back at her?

• She’s never lied to me before – maybe she’s telling the truth!

• God must know what he is doing!

Why do you think God chose two teenagers from poor families in a little town to bring Jesus into the world?

• He wanted to identify with all the other kids born to teenagers.

• He wanted parents with enough energy to keep up with him.

• That’s when parents had kids back then.

• It was like showing the devil he could beat him “with his hands tied behind his back”.

How do you think Joseph and Mary felt being parents to a child who God had told them would “save people from their sins”?

• Scared of making a mistake with him.

• Proud to be part of it all.

• Self-conscious (“What if we swear when he misbehaves?”)

• Egotistical – bragging to all the other parents.

How would you describe your relationship with Jesus right now in football terms?

• Suiting up.

• Sitting on the bench.

• Trying to figure out the game plan.

• Giving it all I've got.

• Playing "catch up".

In all honesty, what difference does Jesus make in your everyday life?

• A great deal.

• Some.

• A lot.

• No difference.

• Not a whole lot.
