Tom didn't like his Sunday clothes

Tom and Huck decided

• to go and talk to Mrs Hopkins after school.

Huck said that

• Hoss was the name of the dead cat.

• a dead cat could call ghosts out of their graves.

• Mrs Hopkins gave him a dead cat.

Tom got dressed and went out of the bedroom window at
