Safe driving policy 23/24

The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety of all AES personnel

in a vehicle and to provide guidance on the requirements for the safe driving

of AES vehicles, or any vehicle being used for official duties, whilst

responding to emergency incidents and conducting routine duties.

Responsibilities of the VOIC

• The driver is responsible for the safe operations of the

  vehicle. When the driver is under the direct supervision of a

  VOIC, the VOIC is accountable for the actions of the driver.

  of vehicles at an incident to achieve the most effective

  operational outcome

• In instances where the vehicle is without an VOIC, the onus

  is on the driver to ensure effective tactical positioning
