surat Yaseen, ayat 74-83

this aya describe the helplessness of the idols and how they will be brought against their worshippers at the Day of Judgment

• وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً۬ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ (٧٤)

• لَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ نَصۡرَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ لَهُمۡ جُندٌ۬ مُّحۡضَرُونَ (٧٥)

• فَلَا يَحۡزُنكَ قَوۡلُهُمۡ‌ۘ إِنَّا نَعۡلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُونَ (٧٦)

• أَوَلَمۡ يَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ۬ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ۬ مُّبِينٌ۬ (٧٧)

فَلَا يَحۡزُنكَ قَوۡلُهُمۡ‌ۘ إِنَّا نَعۡلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُونَ (٧٦)

the underlined word refers to

• accusing the Prophet PBUH to be a lier

• accusing the Prophet PBUH to be a magician

فَلَا يَحۡزُنكَ قَوۡلُهُمۡ‌ۘ إِنَّا نَعۡلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُونَ (٧٦)

The Aya that reminds mankind of their humble origin

• وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلاً۬ وَنَسِىَ خَلۡقَهُ ۥ‌ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحۡىِ ٱلۡعِظَـٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ۬

• قُلۡ يُحۡيِيہَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ۬‌ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلۡقٍ عَلِيمٌ

• أَوَلَمۡ يَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ۬ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ۬ مُّبِينٌ۬

• ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلۡأَخۡضَرِ نَارً۬ا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنۡهُ تُوقِدُونَ

The argument the disbeliever use to deny the resurrection is mentioned in the following aya:

• وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً۬ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ (٧٤)

• أَوَلَيۡسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخۡلُقَ مِثۡلَهُم‌ۚ

• إِنَّمَآ أَمۡرُهُ ۥۤ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيۡـٴً۬ـا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُ ۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

• وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلاً۬ وَنَسِىَ خَلۡقَهُ ۥ‌ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحۡىِ ٱلۡعِظَـٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ۬

لَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ نَصۡرَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ لَهُمۡ جُندٌ۬ مُّحۡضَرُونَ

the underlined part is Allah SWT will bring the idols

as an army against those disbelievers who use to worship them (the idols) in this life

• to humiliate the disbelievers and increase their sadness and their regret

• to fight the disbelievers and destroy them

• to argue on behalf of the disbelievers

أَوَلَمۡ يَرَ , أَوَلَيۡسَ

the purpose of Allah SWT asking people questions in the Quran is to make them think and reflect

أَوَلَيۡسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخۡلُقَ مِثۡلَهُم‌ۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

• The aya confirm Allah's power to create and his full control over his creation

• The aya confirm that Allah is well aware of His creation. He is the all knowing

• The aya challenges the disbelievers and invite them to think rationally

the following aya determine our final return to Allah SWT

• قُلۡ يُحۡيِيہَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ۬‌ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلۡقٍ عَلِيمٌ (٧٩)

• إِنَّمَآ أَمۡرُهُ ۥۤ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيۡـٴً۬ـا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُ ۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ (٨٢)

• فَسُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ۬ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ (٨٣)

the last set of ayat 77-83 emphasized

• Allah's power to create
