Why do the Gamemakers dry up the rivers and ponds?

• to force the remaining Tributes to move towards the lake

• the arena has malfunctioned and water pressure has been lost

• to force Peeta and Katniss to split up

• to eliminate fish as a food source

Why doesn't Cato attack Katniss & Peeta?

• he wants to enter into an alliance with them

• he is badly wounded

• he is being chased by a pack of mutts (muttations)

• he feels outnumbered

How does Katniss save Peeta from Cato?

• she convinces him all 3 of them can win if they promise not to kill each other

• she shoots him in the arm

• she shoots him in the hand

• she begins to cry

Why does it take so long for Cato to die?

• he is so strong

• he is wearing full body armor

• the Career muttations are defending him against the rest of the mutts

• he is able to hole off the mutts using a sword

Why were Katniss and Peeta going to kill themselves with the berries?

• to be done with their pain and suffering

• to win 1 million dollars for each of their families

• to prove to the Gamemakers that they can not just change the rules in the middle of the games

• to escape from the Career mutations
