An object that you are not able to clearly see through because only some light can pass through. The light that passes through is scattered.

A line that is perpendicular to the surface where light is entering from one medium to another

A dark area or shape produced by a body coming between rays of light and a surface

A rocky mass that orbits the sun. These are similar to planets but much smaller
