Budget Vocabulary

Relating to money.

Not always the same; able or likely to change or be changed.

Expenses that change from month to month. For example, gas, eating out, entertainment, hair care, etc.

A report that a person sends to the government about the money that was earned and the taxes they paid in one year.

A plan used to decide the amount of money that can be spent and how it will be spent.

Costs that come up throughout the year, but do not occur regularly.

A plan that provides coverage to members of a group that tends to be employees of a company. Members of the group usually receive insurance at a reduced cost.

Money received, especially on a regular basis, for work or through investments.

A sum paid regularly to a person who has retired from work.

Total pay before withholding (taxes) or other deductions.
