Chapter 17: Begins with the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus, which revealed Our Lord Jesus’ divine glory. He transfigured before St. Peter, St. John and St. James, shining like the sun, and His clothes became as white as light. Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appear and talk with Jesus. We also see His healing of a demon-possessed boy emphasizes the power of faith and how we can’t overcome the devil except by prayer, and fasting. We also see how Our Lord Jesus responded to those who collect the temple tax when they questioned Peter about Jesus’ tax payment.

Chapter 18: Talks about how to be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven and how to live in harmony with others. It Begins with the disciples asking Our Lord Jesus, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Our Lord Jesus responds by placing a little child among them, explaining that unless they become like children—humble they will not enter the Kingdom. We also see How Our Lord Jesus warned against causing others to sin and how severe the consequences. This chapter also shows God's love for each individual, including the sinners. Also we see how Our Lord Jesus instructs on how to deal with a brother who sins. Also we see when St. Peter asked how often one should forgive, and Our Lord Jesus responded "seventy times seven,". Through this chapter, Our Lord Jesus provided a practical guide for living out these principles in everyday life.
