What are the rules of tennis?

  • If the serve misses the service box, it’s a FAULT. The server gets a second chance for a SECOND SERVE. Missing the second serve results in a DOUBLE FAULT, and the server loses the point. If the serve hits the net cord and bounces into the correct service box, it’s a LET, and the serve is repeated.

  • A team consists of 11 players and six substitutes. The ball must be passed or dribbled using the stick. Goals are scored by getting the puck into the opponent’s net.

  • Judges score each run on a scale of 0.00 to 100. Athletes participate in a preliminary round and a final round, with three runs each. The highest-scoring run counts as their qualifying score. They perform air outs, grinds, stalls, and flip tricks along the bowls and copings.

  • All singles and doubles matches are the best-of-three games. The first side to reach 21 points wins a game. A point is scored on every serve, awarded to the side that wins the rally. If the score is 20-20, a side must win by two clear points. If it reaches 29-29, the first to get their 30th point wins. Players change ends at the conclusion of the first game. If a third game is required, they change ends at the end of the second game. In the third game, the change of ends occurs when one side reaches 11 points.
