What were houses like in Pompeii?

Only large houses would have their own kitchen. In Pompeii many of these have been found, still with the remains of food in the cooking pots.

House in Pompeii had their own bathrooms which included a toilet and a bath tub.

Most ordinary people would have a smaller fire for cooking and heat. They would buy bread from bakeries or markets. Over 30 bakeries have been found at Pompeii.

All houses in Pompeii had private temples. These were used to honour their Gods.
