This is a practice in abstract drawing! There is no "right" way to draw the following prompts, just go with your instincts and draw what you think suits the prompt best!

To start, draw a quick doodle!

Draw a line that shows "rest" and "ease"

HORIZONTAL lines show restfulness. Think about when we as humans are horizontal to understand why.

A slight wave can also show rest/ ease because it is soft and has the sense of gentle waves in the ocean.

Draw a line that shows "strength" or "power"

VERTICAL lines show strength/ power. Think about when we are standing straight or of columns outside of the White House to understand why.

Right angles can give a sense of structure and stability that would also offer this feeling.

Draw a line that shows "action" and "excitement"

Diagonal lines show action/ movement. When we are diagonal we are in between horizontal (rest) and vertical (strength) which makes us somewhat unstable/ no longer still. Think about a tree falling or a dancer mid leap to understand why.

Zig Zag Lines also show action with a bit more excitement as they are made with many diagonal lines connected at the ends.

Draw a line that shows "playfulness", "joy" or "whimsy"

Very wavy lines or lines with loops can give the sense of excitement or play. Think about roller coasters, silly straws, or slides to understand why.

Like all of the questions on this quiz, there are many ways to approach this. I chose to make my "sad" circle droopy- it almost looks like a frown (Notice how I didn't draw a frown on the circle.)

Like all of the questions on this quiz, there are many ways to approach this. I chose to make my first triangle small and stout so that my second triangle could be large and more vertical. Size is one way to convey "betterness" or the power one thing has over another, and remember- vertical lines show strength!
