The Hatchet Chapter 17

At the beginning of the chapter, Brian had a lot to do: get food, make a fire, rebuild his shelter and his fish trap. Why was it so difficult for him?

• he lost his shirt and the mosquitos were relentless

• his sprained ankle made it hard to walk

• his camp was flooded by the lake overflow

• his ribs hurt incredibly
