Meditation verses for Book of Matthew 23 & 24.
Chapter 23: Starts with how Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke with the multitude and his disciples warning them against the scribes and Pharisees, their hypocrisy and misleading teachings. Also, How Our Lord Jesus said that true greatness lies in serving others with humility and the greatest among us should be humble and willing to serve. We see also How the Scribes and Pharisees appear righteous while being corrupt from inside. We see, How Our Lord Jesus talked about Jerusalem, expressing His desire to gather its people, but they were not willing. He talks about the ruin of their house and confirms they will not see Him again until they declare, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord."
Chapter 24: Offers the events and the signs of Christ’s second coming, and the importance of being prepared. It shows the reality of trials and hardships. while encouraging us to endure, remain vigilant, and stay prepared for the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This Chapter starts with Jesus talking about the destruction of the Temple. We see Also, how Our Lord Jesus warns about false Christs, wars, famines, earthquakes and false prophets. However, He encourages endurance, stating the gospel will be preached worldwide before the end comes. Our Lord Jesus affirms that this generation will not pass away until all these things happen. We see How Our Lord Jeus describes his second coming, comparing it to lightning that shines from east to west and How Our Lord Jesus confirms that no one knows the day or hour of His return. We must be spiritually prepared, Live faithfully and to stay alert and prepared for His return.
