Mark 1&2

Meditation verses for the Gospel of St. Mark Chapters 1&2:

In Chapter 1 we read about our Lord Jesus teaching us how to live, to be baptized, and teach us how to defeat Satan when he tempts us. Then he chose His disciples and His authority. 

V1-11: St. John the Baptist and the baptism of our Lord Jesus 

V12-13: Satan tempted our Lord Jesus. our Lord defeated him.

V14-20: Our Lord Jesus chose His disciples. 

V21-28: the authority of our Lord Jesus over the devils 

V29-34: The authority of Our Lord over the sickness (healing St. Peter Mother-in-low). 

V35-39: He preached in Galilee. 

V40-45: He heals the leper man.

In Chapter 2, we read about more miracles of our Lord Jesus of healing sick people. 

V1-12: healing the paralytic and the forgiveness of his sins.

V13-17: Our Lord Jesus invites the sinners to follow Him, Levi the tax collector.

V18-22: Our Lord explains the fast's true meaning after the Pharisees asked Him about His disciples and the fast. 

V23-28: Our Lord explains the true meaning of the Sabbath.
