• You are in charge of your thoughts, your actions, your choices.

• Stand up for yourself.

How does changing your mindset impact your lives?

What are emotions?

• The amount of people in someone's family.

• The things that someone likes.

• The way that someone feels.

• The way that someone looks.

How do emotions impact our behavior?

• By allowing us to eat all the donuts we can in 1 hour.

• By telling us that we are the best.

• By creating a colorful picture in our mind.

• By creating a physical response to a specific feeling.

What is a Pause-Plan?

• Naming all the different emotions that we can think of.

• Pausing your favorite movie to get more snacks.

• Notice a strong emotion and pause to help regulate.

• Making a plan to go on vacation for a pause on responsibilities.

How do our emotions affect the choices that we make?

What does it mean to "Notice-Name-Think"?

• Notice my feeling. Name the emotion. Think of a Solution

• Notice the grass is long. Say it needs cutting. Think of who can mow it

• Notice the birds. Name the bird. Think of their life cycle

• Notice that the Teacher said your name wrong and correct them!

Why is it important to be able to self-regulate before we make decisions?

What does it mean to have a Growth Mindset?

• Being able to think about all the different flowers in the world

• To believe that you can get better at something with dedication to yourself

• Reading your book everyday to grow your brain

• Growing a garden in your backyard
