Meditation verse for the Gospel of St. Mark chapters
11 & 12:
In chapter 11:
V. 1-10: Our Lord Jesus Christ entered into Jerusalem riding on a colt.
V. 11-14: Our Lord Jesus cursed a fig tree having leaves without fruits.
V. 15-19: Our Lord Jesus Christ drive out those who bought and sold in the temple.
V. 20-26: How to have faith in God?
V. 27-33: The chief priests, the scribes, and the elders asked Him, By what authority are you doing these things? And who gave this authority to you?
In Chapter 12: in this chapter Our Lord Jesus Christ began to speak to them in parables.
V. 1-12: The parable of the vineyard and the evil vinedressers.
V. 13-17: The Pharisees and the Herodians, trying to catch Him in His words by asking Him a question about paying taxes!
V. 18-27: The Sadducees and the resurrection
V. 28-34: One of the scribes asked Him, Which is the first commandment of all?
He answered; Love the Lord your God with all your heart and Love your neighbor as yourself’. There’s no other commandment greater than these.”
V. 35-40: How is the Christ is the son of David?
V. 41-44: The poor widow and the two mites.
