I am mainly in the north of Africa, running along the Tropic of Cancer. I get less than 250mm of rainfall per year, and the average temperature during the day is 38C, but -4C at night. The only plants you will find here are cacti and short grasses.

I am shrinking and under threat from deforestation and logging. I have humid climate, with 1500-2000mm of rainfall per year, and temperatures of 20-30C. I am home to lots of endangered wildlife including forest elephants, chimpanzees and bonobos.

I am the smallest climate zone within Africa, and located in the mountain ranges of Northern Africa. I get 500-1500mm of rainfall per year and have a seasonal climate. Due to cooler temperatures larger mammals live here including the Atlas deer and African Leopard.
